# What Are Bananos? eBanano's Loyalty Rewards Explained

Bananos are eBanano's loyalty currency — a fun way to be rewarded for every trip you take and every friend you bring along 🍌. Every time you buy a plan, refer a pal, or catch a special promotion, you'll collect Bananos that you can put toward your next adventure. Think of them as your frequent flyer miles, but way more tropical.

## How Bananos Work

It's simple: earn Bananos, spend Bananos. Here's the full picture:

* 🛒 **Earned on purchases** — Every plan you buy earns you Bananos automatically. No hoops to jump through.
* 👥 **Earned through referrals** — Invite friends to eBanano and earn Bananos when they make their first purchase.
* 🎉 **Earned in promotions** — Keep an eye out for seasonal events and special campaigns that award bonus Bananos.
* 🏷️ **Redeemed at checkout** — Use your Bananos balance as a discount when you're buying your next plan. Apply all of them or save some for later — it's up to you.

## What Is a Banano Worth?

Each Banano is worth a small fraction of a cent toward your next eBanano purchase. The exact exchange rate — meaning how much discount you get per Banano — is always shown clearly at checkout and in your account's rewards section, so you'll never be left guessing.

## Do Bananos Expire?

  Bananos are designed to reward active travelers. If your eBanano account has **no activity for 12 consecutive months** (no purchases, no logins, no redemptions), any Bananos in your balance will expire.

  To keep your Bananos alive, simply stay active — even logging in or browsing plans counts. If you're planning a big trip, your balance will be right there waiting for you.
