# Install Your eBanano eSIM on Android — Step-by-Step

> How to install your eBanano eSIM on Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, and other eSIM-compatible Android devices, with tips for other brands too.

Android and eBanano are a great travel pairing — as long as your phone supports eSIM, you're good to go. The exact steps to install vary a little depending on who made your phone, but the overall journey is the same: find your SIM settings, scan your QR code, and you're done. This guide covers **Samsung Galaxy** and **Google Pixel** in detail, with tips for other Android brands too.

## Install Your eSIM

    Most Samsung Galaxy phones released since 2019 support eSIM, including the S20 series and later, as well as select A-series and Z Fold/Flip models.

      <Step title="Open Settings and go to Connections">
        Open the **Settings** app and tap **Connections**.

      <Step title="Tap SIM Manager">
        Tap **SIM Manager** to view and manage the SIMs on your device.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Tap Add eSIM or Add Mobile Plan">
        Tap **Add eSIM** (on newer Samsung UI) or **Add mobile plan** (on some older versions). The exact label may vary slightly by model or Android version.

      <Step title="Tap Scan QR Code">
        Select **Scan QR code** and point your camera at the QR code in your eBanano confirmation email.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Follow on-screen prompts to confirm">
        Your phone will download the eSIM profile. Tap through the confirmation prompts — Samsung may ask you to give the eSIM a name or confirm it as your active data SIM.

      <Step title="Enable Data Roaming">
        Once installed, go to **Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks** and turn on **Data Roaming**. Make sure eBanano is selected as your active data SIM. Without roaming enabled, you won't get data abroad.

    Google Pixel phones have supported eSIM since the Pixel 2, and the setup process is one of the most straightforward on Android.

      <Step title="Open Settings and go to Network & Internet">
        Open the **Settings** app and tap **Network & Internet**.

      <Step title="Tap SIMs">
        Tap **SIMs** to manage your current SIM cards and add new ones.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Tap the Plus Button or Add SIM">
        Tap the **+** icon or the **Add SIM** option at the bottom of the SIMs screen.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Tap Download a SIM Instead">
        Your Pixel will ask if you want to insert a physical SIM or download one. Tap **Download a SIM instead?** to proceed with eSIM installation.

      <Step title="Scan your QR code">
        Point your camera at the QR code from your eBanano email. The Pixel's scanner is quick — it should recognise the code within a second or two.

      <Step title="Follow the prompts and enable Data Roaming">
        Tap through the confirmation steps. Once complete, go to your mobile network settings and turn on **Data Roaming** for your eBanano eSIM so it can connect to local networks when you travel.

  **Using a different Android brand?** If you have a **OnePlus**, **Motorola**, **Sony**, or another Android phone, the steps will be similar — just the menu names might differ. Look for **eSIM**, **Mobile Plan**, or **Add SIM** inside your network or SIM settings.   Before you head to the airport, go into your SIM settings and confirm that eBanano is set as your **mobile data SIM**. It only takes a second and saves you from landing abroad and wondering why nothing is loading.
