Switch Between Your eBanano eSIM and Home SIM Card
Use both your eBanano eSIM and your home SIM at the same time — manage which SIM handles calls, texts, and mobile data on your trip.
Here’s the beauty of a dual-SIM phone: you don’t have to choose between staying reachable and keeping your data costs low. Most modern smartphones let you run your home SIM and your eBanano eSIM side by side — your regular number handles calls and texts as normal, while eBanano takes care of all your mobile data. Best of both worlds, no juggling required.
The key step is telling your phone to use eBanano for data. Here’s how to do it on the most popular devices:
iPhone

Open Settings and tap Cellular.
Tap Cellular Data.
Select your eBanano eSIM line from the list.
Head back to Cellular, tap your eBanano line, and make sure Data Roaming is turned on.
That’s it! Your iPhone will now route all mobile data through eBanano while your home SIM stays available for calls and texts.
Open Settings and tap Connections.
Tap SIM Manager.
Under Mobile Data, select your eBanano eSIM.
Confirm the switch if prompted.
Samsung may ask whether you want to switch data networks — tap OK to confirm eBanano as your data SIM.
Open Settings and tap Network & Internet.
Tap SIMs.
Under Preferred SIM for Data, select your eBanano eSIM.
Your Pixel will now use eBanano for mobile data. Your other SIM stays active for calls and messages.
Keep your home SIM active for calls and texts while abroad — friends and family can still reach you on your regular number. Just make sure eBanano is set as your default for data, and you’re good to go!
If you have a physical SIM from another country (like a local SIM you bought on a previous trip), make sure to turn off mobile data for that SIM. If it’s set as your data SIM, your phone may try to connect through it and rack up unexpected roaming charges. Double-check your data SIM setting any time you swap physical SIMs.
Once you’re back from your trip, you’ll want to switch data back to your home SIM so you’re not burning through your eBanano plan at home.Simply follow the same steps above, but this time select your home SIM as the preferred data line. Your eBanano eSIM will stay stored on your phone — ready for your next adventure — but it won’t use any data until you switch back to it.You can also turn off your eBanano eSIM line entirely to keep things tidy:
