2Chip has two notification settings: Push notifications and Discounts & promotions.

Push notifications

One main switch controls service push notifications such as:
  • eSIM ready;
  • plan activated;
  • data running low or used up;
  • plan expiring soon;
  • top-up applied;
  • refund completed;
  • important eSIM issue;
  • support replied.
There are no separate switches for “Orders” and “Plans & data”. If push notifications are disabled, important events can still remain visible in the in-app notification center.

Discounts & promotions

This is a separate marketing switch for broad promotions, advertising discounts, marketing campaigns, and mass promo codes. Turning it off does not disable service notifications. Referral rewards are service events, not mass marketing.

System permission

The in-app setting cannot override iOS or Android notification permission. If notifications are blocked at the OS level, 2Chip can direct you to system settings.

Email

Email remains useful for receipts and payment documents, refunds and important money events, support replies, and selected account-security events. Marketing email should depend on marketing consent.

Why there is no push for every state

Intermediate states such as Checking payment and Preparing eSIM are usually better shown inside the order. On the happy path, 2Chip avoids sending “Payment successful” immediately followed by “eSIM ready”. The main useful push is eSIM ready.
