Before installing, make sure you have:
  • a compatible, carrier-unlocked device;
  • a stable internet connection;
  • the installation details for this specific eSIM;
  • a clear understanding of when this plan starts.
If the eSIM was bought for someone else, do not install it on your own phone.
Do not use a universal “install before your trip” rule. Some plans start on first network connection, some when the eSIM is installed, and some immediately after purchase. Check the activation rule for your specific plan first.

Choose your device

1

Open cellular settings

Go to Settings → Cellular or Mobile Data.
2

Add an eSIM

Tap Add eSIM → Use QR Code.
3

Scan the code

Open the QR code on another screen and scan it with the phone.
4

Finish installation

Follow the system prompts until the new eSIM appears in the list of lines.

If the QR code is on the same phone

Some phones can use a QR image from the gallery or recognize an eSIM QR code shown on the device. If your phone cannot:
  • open the QR code on another device;
  • or use manual installation.

Manual installation

If the order provides manual installation data, choose Enter details manually or a similar option and enter the supplied values without changing them. These may include:
  • SM-DP+ address;
  • activation code;
  • confirmation code, if required.
The QR code, SM-DP+ address, and activation code can provide access to installing the eSIM. Do not publish or share them with unrelated people.

How to know installation is complete

If the eSIM appears in the phone’s SIM/mobile-lines list, the profile has been installed.
Installation and internet access are separate stages. A profile being installed does not by itself mean the plan is active.

eSIM won’t install

QR issues, used code, interrupted installation, or deleted profile.

Connect after arrival

Select the eSIM for data and connect to a supported network.
